Electronic money order (a reliable way to transfer funds in South Africa and participating foreign countries):

The purchaser must notify the recipient that a money order will be available. The recipient must have the money order number and PIN to enable him to redeem the money order.

Domestic Postal orders:

A domestic postal order is made payable to a specific person or company and may be redeemed at post offices and banks.

redarrow There is no limitation on the maximum value per month or per person in respect of Domestic Postal / Money Orders or International Money Orders to Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland.

The Identification of the customer must be verified.
International Money Orders - Certified copy of ID document and proof of residential address.

Payout requirements

The Identification of the customer must be verified.
redarrow If the applicant is an individual S.A. Citizen, proof of residence is not necessary.
redarrow If the applicant is a Foreign National the following will apply:

redarrow Domestic Postal / Money Orders - proof of residence is not necessary.
redarrow International Money Orders - obtain a certified copy of their ID document and proof of residential address
