Our Mobile solution, allows customers multiple interfaces/platforms to access our ePostal’s mobile solution to communicate with residents, suppliers, internal staff etc. The solution allows you to upload single adhoc messages, bulk messages (one message-multiple recipients), system generated sms messages (e.g. sms balances at month end). The solution offers an ability to provide reports, as well as replies to single and bulk sms files submitted by users.

ePostal has the capabilities to execute SMS messages on behalf of Customers via its eMessaging platform and it has Wireless Application Service Provider (WASP) licences South African Mobile Network Operators and is a member of WASPA. We have multiple interfaces which range from sending sms via your Outlook application to interfaces between systems and the ePostal Mobile Platform. Each interface has its unique advantages and depends on the customer requirements on which interface would be better. The following three interfaces are discussed in more detail below:

Interface SMS Outlook

Description
Outlook SMS appear as a button on the Outlook client task bar. Clicking on the button pops up a message screen where the SMS message is composed and address list and ad-hoc recipient cell phone numbers entered. The message is sent as an email to the ePostal Outlook SMS server which converts the email message into one or more SMS messages and delivers the SMS messages to cell phone recipients via direct connections to the cell phone networks. Replies are delivered back to the user via email, the messages appearing in the user’s inbox like any other email.

Typical uses/ benefits
These type of interfaces is suitable for call centre agents forwarding individual replies, administrators and secretaries sending communications to staff or customers. No system integration required. The system is active in less than a day.

SMS Broadcast

You can use the SMS Broadcast Web-based User interface to: 
1. Send a single message to a single or multiple recipient(s), without attaching a file 
2. Send a single message to multiple recipients by attaching a file of cell-numbers
3. Send multiple (recipient unique) messages to multiple recipients by attaching a file containing a list of cell numbers with their unique messages

These type of interfaces is suitable for call centre agents forwarding individual replies, administrators and secretaries sending communications to staff or customers. No system integration required. The system is active in less than a day. These types of interfaces is suitable for communication departments, marketing and billing which extract customer contact details and wish to single messages to multiple recipients or recipient unique messages to a list of cell numbers. Example sends Bluff residents a sms that services will be disrupted.

System Generated SMS

ePostal’s Applink Interface will enable the generated messages, to be sent out immediately or on a scheduled time from any billing system, online channels or other application.

- The ePostal Applink Solution allows for web based reporting, on all messages

Require system integration and is dependent on customer integration project timelines. No human intervention needed in process. Typical uses include month end balance notifications, activity notifications, passwords etc.
